To celebrate the opening of Gucci Paragon flagship store in Singapore, Gucci pleasantly announced its special collection designed by creative director Frida Giannini for the local charitable organizations Mainly I Love Kids (MILK). Inspired by new varieties of orchids, Paravanda Frida introduced by Tourism Board and Botanic Gardens of Singapore, this collection will be named with Frida Giannini.
Paravanda Frida is a hybridization of Phalaenopsis and Vanda. It is really gracefully with 20 cm inflorescence, six buds on average, 8 cm width. The sepals and petals represent chic white, vividly contrasting with the yellowish red labellum. This kind of orchid has cylindrical leaves, flowering perennial, like the sun, which symbolize strong and persistent character.
From March 2010 Paravanda Frida will be displayed in Singapore’s National Orchid Garden which is the most complete and permanent orchid exhibition hall in Asia.
Frida Giannini said: “It is my great honor to name this beautiful and pure flower. I am looking forward to my first visiting of Singapore in April and witnessing these gorgeous orchids.”
The Frida Giannini special collection has been available at Gucci Paragon flagship store in Singapore. The sales proceeds of Boston handbag will be totally donated to charitable organizations in Singapore Mainly I Love Kids (MILK).
